Author Guidelines

Authors submitting manuscripts to the Journal of Science and Research (JSR) are expected to comply with the following writing requirements to ensure consistency, clarity, and academic quality of the journal:

  1. Manuscript Format

·        Manuscripts should be typed using Microsoft Word format.

·        The length of the manuscript is between 5,000–7,000 words, excluding references and appendices.

·        Text must be written using Times New Roman font, size 12, with 1.5 line spacing throughout the document.

·        Margins should follow the standard format: 2.5 cm (top, bottom, left, right).

·        Tables, figures, and appendices should be placed close to the point of reference in the text and must be numbered consecutively.

  1. Article Structure
    Manuscripts should follow the structure below:

·        Title: Concise, specific, and informative (maximum 15 words), written in sentence case.

·        Abstract: Written in both Indonesian and English (150–250 words each), summarizing research objectives, methods, findings, and implications.

·        Keywords: 3–5 keywords, listed alphabetically, separated by commas.

·        Introduction: Outlines research background, problem formulation, objectives, theoretical framework, and research significance.

·        Methods: Describes research design, participants or data sources, instruments, and procedures used for analysis.

·        Results and Discussion: Presents findings clearly and discusses their implications in relation to existing theories or previous research.

·        Conclusion: Provides a summary of main findings, contributions, and possible recommendations.

·        Acknowledgements (optional): Acknowledges individuals, institutions, or funding bodies that supported the research.

·        References: Must be complete, up-to-date, and formatted according to APA style (7th edition).

  1. Citation Style

·        CJSR adopts the APA (American Psychological Association) Style, latest edition.

·        Authors are strongly encouraged to use reference management tools such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote to maintain accuracy and consistency.

·        In-text citations and reference lists must strictly adhere to APA formatting guidelines.

  1. Language

·        Manuscripts may be written in either Bahasa Indonesia or English.

·        Authors must ensure correct grammar, clarity, and academic style. For English manuscripts, proofreading by a professional language editor is recommended.

  1. Originality

·        Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under review elsewhere.

·        All submissions will be checked using plagiarism detection software. The maximum acceptable similarity index is 20%.

·        Authors are responsible for the authenticity and accuracy of their manuscripts.
